About the Deputy for General Crimes

The Deputy for General Crimes is responsible for overseeing the control, pre-prosecution, additional examinations, prosecutions, execution of judges’ rulings and court decisions, as well as supervision over the implementation of conditional sentences, supervised criminal judgments, parole decisions, and other legal actions related to general criminal cases.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing technical policy formulations for judicial activities in the field of general crimes, including providing guidance, development, and technical supervision;
  • Planning, executing, and controlling activities related to pre-prosecution, additional examinations, and prosecutions of general criminal cases involving national security, public order, offenses against persons and property, as well as other general crimes regulated outside the Criminal Code;
  • Managing and supervising the execution of court rulings and judicial decisions, including conditional sentences, supervised criminal judgments, and parole decisions, as well as other related legal actions and administrative processes;
  • Strengthening cooperation and coordination with other institutions and providing guidance and technical instructions to investigators in handling general criminal cases;
  • Preparing recommendations, legal opinions, and advisory materials for the Attorney General concerning general criminal cases and other legal matters related to law enforcement policy;
  • Fostering and enhancing the professional competence, technical expertise, and personal integrity of general crime prosecutors within the jurisdiction of the respective High Prosecutor’s Office;
  • Ensuring technical security and oversight in the execution of duties and authorities of the Prosecutor’s Office in the field of general crimes.
